inertia-ed.
intertia-ed.was trying very very (and i really mean VERY) hard to try get all the reaction mechanisms for organic chemistry into my head. Sadly, i can only vaguely recall some.
the main difference between JC organic chem and Uni organic chem is that, you can't get by the uni exams by pure memorizing of the reactions a particular substrate undergoes with what reagents, under what conditions, and the final product. Now in uni, you're expected to know all of that was previously mentioned, plus the mechanisms which involve arrow pushings, plus the intermediate products. Having a big big mental block. It's like having something stuck up your throat, no matter how hard you cough and cough, the block just stubbornly refuses to go away. But now, the block's in my head, but i can't exactly pin-point where, it's just -there- and worst part, i cant cough to clear the brain passages, and actually, coughing makes it more painful and i NEED to get all these horrid reactions into my head. Practice makes perfect, but whats the point of practicing questions if i can't even get the basics into my piece of grey matter.
maybe i'm suffering from brain disorder..brain cancer to be exact. help.
list of things i should do to make myself feel better and make organic chem easier to study::
1. get a giant majong paper and compare similiar reactions that derivatives of a particular functional grp undergo. then again, i'd prob take the whole day just to fill up one side of the majong paper.
2. eat more royce chocolates. they're -my goodnessy- absolutely- horribly- yUMMy!
3. just memorize EVERYTHING. right.
sometimes i wished i could use more of my brain. apparently, most people (with the exception of Einstein( are only using 1 % or is it lesser of their brain for memory, bodily functioning etc. We could all become psychics if we could increase that 1 % to say 10 % ? hohoho.
4. Stop blogging and surfing online and continue mugging.
-countdown to exams... 13 days. - *gulps, wrings arms hysterically in the air! *
