miracles.

right. haha. sensed some sort of urgency to blog something new ever since that depressing entry about... ok. haha. i -am- and -will- get over him. No worries to all my concerned friends out there.. i won't turn suicidal or anything nonsensical. haha.

Was reading this nice jokes' book for comic relief when i was supposed to continue doing my maths revision. Had the urge to blog down what i read... i feel its so apt.. the question of miracles, and are they real.. has been on the minds of everyone sometime through-out their lives. But the crux of it all is... does God really exist? Is there any co-relation between God and miracles?

The story begins...

A self confessed atheist was telling his friends about his adventures in the desert.
"I was lost. I was hungry and thirsty. I thought i was going to die."
"So what did you do?"
"i'm an atheist, and i don't believe in prayer. But in that moment of dire need, i decided to call on God to help me."
"and he did?"
"No, before he could do anything, the search party came along and found me."

I'm sure your thoughts after reading this passage are:
Did the prayer of the atheist bring the search party?
Or were the rescuers already on the way before he prayed?
Such questions are irrelevant since God, if He does exist, exists outside of time. (God is eternity) He could well hear the prayer of anyone long before he or she prays. Ultimately, whether we believe God answers prayer or performs miracles depends on our willingness to believe, as much as the evidence for such a belief.

I hope this penetrates through the tough spot in the hearts of those non-believers of such a powerful and wonderful God. The fundamental of Christianity is FAITH. With FAITH, we'll believe in God even though we can't see his physical being, then again, we -can- feel his presence near us... if we believe hard.
