I'd just realised yesterday night that my pair of Nike sandals had gotten stolen. S-T-O-L-E-N. Under broad daylight. Right under my NOSE...(ok..not literally..)I'm pissed. Should have known better than to place my sandals at the edge of the shoe-rack where anyone can just stretch their hand in and STEAL my sandals. I've definitely learnt my lesson now.
Throughout the first half hour after making that shocking discovery (shocking as it MUST be an insiders' job since my estate has a security guard...), my mum, my sis and myself were coming up with different theories as to who stole it..and why. My mother came up with her 'One deed, One lifetime' theory -- that maybe, the person was in dire need of a pair of sandals..saw mine..and took it away..so basically i was helping someone by getting my stuff stolen. My sister, on the other-hand said that, maybe it wasn't a bad thing afterall; if the old doesn't go, the new doesn't come, and so NOW would be a good time to ask my mum for a new pair of shoes or sandals. And finally, i concluded simply, that it was hightime we invest in some sort of shoe cupboard before any of the expensive shoes get stolen.
Singapore isn't all too friendly afterall. Had this urge to invent some form of microchip thing so as to tag ALL my shoes..so that whenever an incident such as this happens again, i'd be able to trace the shoe and catch the baddie. Who knows, i might be the next entrepreneurer of the year. Hah. ^_^
